  1. Cue the Justin Faulk to Pittsburgh rumors.
  2. Been through a lot of these storms, and i've NEVER seen one essentially stop and turn southwest. Crazy how that's the projected track. I'll believe it when I see it. Its going to be a wet weekend, probably about a foot of rain for me and Devin before its done. Could get nasty with some trees down and power out - luckily it looks like the wind will stay south.
  3. Exactly. Buffalo needs to do a better job developing the talent that they have. Their issue has not been getting the players.
  4. Hate to hear that about your father Sammy, and thanks for providing the American link. The information hit us over at Dobber pretty hard. Certainly was a surprise, but knowing Dobbs he's gonna fight it like crazy. I know many of us here have worked with him in some capacity over the years so I'll try to keep you guys updated with anything I hear. But like he said while he is out, we will be picking up the slack. Dobber and DobberProspects has never been stronger, and we are certainly behind the boss. - Kevin
  5. Done. Nice work Ryan. Always a good cause each year.
  6. Pavelec and Parenteau rumored to be going on waivers today. Didn't see either of those coming.
  7. Dobber had me write his Calder article/list for the Fantasy Guide this year (shameless plug, out August 1st), and it was 25 players who have a shot at the Calder. I too think that Laine has a leg up on Matthews, mostly due to points. The Calder in the past has been so points driven. I see Matthews having a year similar to Eichel's. If he ends up around 60 points, that will be a good first season. Darkhorses outside of the Matthews, Laine, Puljujarvi conversation - Sebastian Aho, Mikko Rantanen, Dylan Strome, Jimmy Vesey....
  8. Nope you are 100% right. I think the argument of people that they don't like to have people watching what they are doing online/in a game like that are forgetting all the other apps on their phone/tablet/computer that are tracking data and location without them even knowing. Its just cause the game is at the forefront that its getting talked about more in that context currently. I am interested to see how much data usage will spike on the first billing cycle though!
  9. BTW, I'm by no means a "doomsdayer" or one of those people that thinks everything is a government conspiracy. The whole platform is such a revolutionary idea. So many things can/will spawn off from it.
  10. Its an absolutely genius idea for multiple reasons. Not only has it gotten people active and out and around because its a fun and nostalgic concept, but Google (where the game was created, in their incubator) is getting free Google maps access to everyones homes and the inside of businesses. Don't even have to spend the money to drive around in Google cars like they did in maps. Anyone worry about the geo-caching aspect of it? I have a couple active military friends who are in intelligence that have told me they are somewhat terrified of it if the information/servers fall into the wrong hands. The ability to know locations of everyone playing the game could be problematic eventually due to the type of world were currently living in. Snapchat, WhatsApp, and PS4, XBOXOne have been hell for the intelligence community. Its great to see people out and exploring their cities though. Nice way to meet people as well.
  11. Allison as well. They stocked up with depth in this draft. Their goaltending pipeline is so solid.
