Ydomat
What do you guys think about the top 5 forwards picked? how do you think it will shake out? Feel free to give projections as well
Bagwell
It's tough to say on this one. I think Matthews is going to be the best player by a long shot. That being said, I could see one of the other out-producing him. If someone does, my guess is Poolparty.
Ydomat
I voted Poolparty (am i allowed to use your nickname, its awesome!) I dont think Matthews will play much more than 2nd or 3rd line in TOR with Bozak and Kadri there. WPG is fairly Deep on RW, so fitting in Laine will be interesting. poolparty will likely have a better time since he will likely be playing 2nd line RW all season with either Draisiatl or RNH. bill0755
I am also all in on Laine, as feel he is going to be the Calder winner too
Hockey13Playa
I voted for Laine as well. I see Matthews having a more reserved role in his rookie season.
Salros
Laine will finally be the hi-octane jet fuel the Jets need to raise the ceiling of results in Winnipeg.

Puljujarvi has the next best chance assuming he finds himself playing with McDavid.
jawlesscdizzle
yeah that mcdavid factor is huge.
Salros
Talk to some Hall owners about how they felt about the trade.

James
Where does Vesey fit into this list of 5? Think he outscores any of them? All of them?

Salros
He has a good chance to beat 3 of the 5 if his confidence in his abilities matches his NHL play.

Salros
My bet is Boston but he could surprise and go to Buffalo
orphans
Laine- lot of love for guy who hurt his left knee in may and again June and is not skating this summer. Might be a bit late getting going this year
Ydomat
The spirit of the thread was the top 5 forwards from the 2016 draft. so in this case vesey wouldnt fit. But i suppose he would likely be the guy with the most upside on all the rookie lists.
