Either way Montreal should go after Point.

The rumour is that the agent (who represents both Aho and Point) steered them toward offersheeting Aho when they initially inquired about Point. Don't know if there is any truth to it, but perhaps this indicates Point isn't interested.

Happy Free agent day everyone!! (and Canada day)    Lets drink to our favourite teams signing awful contracts that inevitably screw over our fantasy teams!!

Two and a half hours in, and the only action in Montreal is Veg taking his shirt off. This is not what Habs fans want to see.

I've decided Lee is totally worth 9M AAV and I'll be fine if MTL does it. Not letting anyone or anything ruin July 1 for me.

if point isn't interested what about other RFA's ? Bergevin needs to do something with all that cap space, this would  be the 3 rd year he has a shit tonne of room and doesn't do anything with it.

Do you guys think this ridiculous money is going to hamper capwise?  With our budget restrictions it will be hard going after players making over $10 million while 2nd line players making $6-8 million.

Yes could hamper Capwise.  But yet also make it even more of a challenge.  It could just mean that some star players may not be worth owning.  Especially some D who are paid to defend and not necessarily put up stats.

There is only so much money to go around. I think GMs are going to be put in check soon when no one has any space left to go $10M-plus for star players. In fact, it might already be happening (W. Karlsson, Meier).
