Hello fellow hockey fanatics!
It's that time of year again, as we watch the NHL regular season come to an end and the playoffs on the horizon I am once again participating in the Smilezone's charity hockey tournament on April 29th. Unlike in years past this will be a one day tournament but the goal is still the same!! To put as many smiles
on as many kids faces as possible.
Those of you who know me from my long tenure in this great hockey community know how long I have been participating in this charity. Smilezone continues to transform children's wards in hospitals into welcoming, interactive spaces where the kids can feel more comfortable when having to spend time fighting or recovering from illness.
Join me in supporting this great cause and I'll ensure I let Eric Lindros know to keep his head up this year! LOL

I want to thank everyone who supported this great cause. It was a great event that raised $167,094.51 for Smilezone. I had a absolute blast and the team I played for raised $22,323.75 (3rd highest team total)!!
Got to play against one of my idols growing up in Eric Lindros. Also got a couple shifts with former Rangers Adam Graves and Stephane Matteau.
Can't wait until next year!

Charity tournament starts Saturday! My team is rocking the donations, currently at just over $12,000 raised for this great cause. Keep those donations coming! You guys are awesome and are putting many many smiles on sick kids faces.

This community is amazing! Just over 24 hours since I posted and I'm already over half way to my goal of $500 with $332.50 donated so far, with $200+ from the Capwise community. Thank you to those who have donated! 👏 👏

Hello Capwise Community!!
I hope each one of you is doing fantastic!, whether we have interacted before or not.
It has been a few years since last being in a Capwise league yet I still find myself checking in on a monthly to weekly basis depending on the time of year. I loved my time running multiple teams but life got in the way and I had to step away. I hope to return to the fantasy aspect at some point again but am posting for a different reason this time around.
As some of you may recall I play in a 24 hour charity hockey tournament for a foundation called Smilezone. You can click the link here Home - Smilezone Foundation to see all they do. One of their main objectivities is to put smiles on those kids who are sick in the hospital. The transform those boring hallways and rooms in hospitals into amazing spaces of learning and healing. The tournament has been on hold for the last two years like most of our lives due to Covid but is making an exciting comeback this year! Like many other foundations, the last two years have made fundraising difficult and Smilezone is looking to make this the most successful tournament to date. So any donation, regardless of the amount, will go a long way in putting smiles on thousands of children's faces

I play fantasy hockey, baseball and football. Won about $500 in baseball this year, finishing second in the regular season for $200 and then winning the league for another $400, minus the $100 buy in.

As I am about to embark on this 24 hockey journey I wanted to first thank you all for your support and donations. There is no better feeling then helping out some kids who have not been given the same advantages as I have growing up. All of your donations are sincerely appreciated and I look forward to continued participation in this event for many years to come.
Nothing better then being able to play hockey to raise money for these kids.

Only two weeks to go before I take on this 24 hour tournament and we are getting closer and closer to our fundraising goal of $150,000!! We currently are sitting at $94,622.50.

Another successful charity tournament for the Smilezone foundation! With your generous donations the event was able to raise over $145,000! Simply amazing.
A big thank you to all who donated. Looking forward to next year's already.
This is truly an amazing fantasy hockey community.
The highlight for me this year was getting to lineup with Wojtek Wolski. Super nice guy and fun to talk too. Pretty good hockey player too.
