  1. They could trade back into the top of the draft if they move Markstrom to Jersey/Philly.

Markstrom for Pick ~12 and you fill in the rest how you want (extra pick from VAN in first, DAL in 2nd means they can move a top 40 pick if the other team wants to scoop someone falling out of the top 20/30). Depends how much the last few weeks weigh on Philly management, and Jersey probably wishes they made a move in net earlier.

Detroit might also want a goalie based on Lyon/Reimer faltering a bit down the stretch, and probably lands in the mid teens range after losing last night.

If the Wings take Kemell over Kasper or Nazar, I'd be slightly upset, but then again.......MORITZ SEIDER!

Don't think we're allowed to question Stevie yet, not until there's a bust. Guy doesn't like missing so far

Ha ha! Glad to know someone else is in the same boat. I’m working in my break room, in five second intervals between glances at the tv. Cmon Habs just spend that money already!!

American customers still working today, and therefore so do I! Got TSN streaming at work, and would be ok if Leafs don't do much more today.

what are your thoughts on what he'll get paid ? is he getting an 8 year deal at 8 or even 9 mil per ?

I think $8-8.25 mil would be the generous side I mentioned earlier. One surprising comparison: Victor Hedman. Hear me out on this one, I swear it's not that crazy (stats-wise).

As shown above, the overall points/game difference was very small (0.05). Can Trouba demand that near 11% cap hit. I would doubt it. Hedman's contract came on the back 14 points in 17 games in the play offs, while Trouba seems to slow a lot in production come post season (6 points in 27 games). However, he could use this comparable to up his stock, and maybe get closer to the $8mil AAV Dux mentioned earlier. One thing to keep in mind: Hedman also signed this deal one year before he had to. Considering he put up 72 points in 79 games, he would've made more money. All in all should be an interesting negotiation, and just some thoughts on a surprising statistical comparable.

I think he ends up in the $7.25-7.75 range.

Trouba is gonna be asking for some stupid money ! Another hold out, guess he has Arbitrator?

He does have arbitration rights. But NYR also only have one defenceman signed beyond 2020-21 (Skeji). Similar story upfront with Zibanejad being the only forward after 2020-21. Rangers will be in a great spot in regards to cap, so if they give Trouba a slightly higher (but still reasonable) contract, they should be fine, as all their current big contracts (see ya, Smith and Staal) will expire before the young talent like Chytil, Kakko, and Fox need their raises. I could also see Hank going the Pekka route and signing smaller 1-2 year deals for ~$5mil until Shestkerin is 100% ready to be the starter.

TLDR: Rangers could be very scary in a couple of years

  6. It'd be nice to add some sandpaper to this lineup. I think the some of the current "forecheckers" don't fit well into this line up for what you cold get for similar money. Michael Ferland is a name the Leafs should consider as an option at the deadline/July 1. Better if they could get someone like Josh Anderson, who has another year after this season. Both guys are cheaper than someone like Connor Brown or Zach Hyman, can provide similar offence, and are willing to throw their weight around and drop their gloves if need be. It'll be interesting to see if Dubas moves anyone around before the deadline or at the draft.

I luckily still have a copy of the old scoring page open on my phone. Kind of surprised it still works, but very glad it does. See if you can check your browser history to open the old scoring page up!

So I just tried this, and it works! Go into your History (CTRL + H). In the search bar at the top, type your Full League Name (eg. "Continental Fantasy Hockey League" rather than "CFHL"). Click the Live Scoring link with the League Name and you should have it back!

  8. The expansion draft will be really interesting with Vegas being exempt. They could really benefit: 1) Obviously cause they don't have to lose a player. 2) They could swings some deals with the 31 other teams again, by trading for other teams' expansion target players. Will be interesting to watch the first few weeks of the 2021 offseason.

  9. I'm happy for Leivo, maybe now he'll actually get a chance to play every night. If both he and Ennis stayed, they would've been cycled in and out of the 4th line until an injury occured. Sadly, both guys have been impressive relative to their expectations, but this moment was coming. Better to get something rather than nothing. Too bad they couldn't get Leipsic back.
