Don't know if he's better than Emilen, tho.
I know next to nothing about Schlemko. But the answer is an unequivocal yes. Dressing 5 D is better than playing Emelin.

The fact that they took a couple of hours negotiating that term and money for Drouin would make the almost inevitable standoff with Galchenyuk even more damaging to the relationship. My bet is he'll be off to greener pastures within the next few days.

Glad this came out after bids were in!

Thanks guys. I ended up staying put. Fuku kind of confirmed my own thoughts. Glad you agree byz.

Points-only, do you guys prefer Nylander by a significant margin? What are their respective ceilings?
I've been offered Nylander for my Rantanen + 1st round pick in a 12-team points-only keeper league.
I'm out of contention (4 out of 12), so this for next season and beyond.
Draft will mostly be 2017 draftees, but not exclusively.
I will be refusing the offer, but I'm trying to decide whether to counter with a 2nd instead. Just not sure if Nylander is even an upgrade over Rantanen.
Trade deadline is today.
Thanks guys.

That would make it easier for fantasy. Seems to me those two weeks could be merged into a single matchup and things would pretty much even out.

Maybe Bergevin could remind the Avalanche that they owe us a lopsided deal for a star player?
Shut up, shut up, shut up. That never happened. Lalalalalala, I can't hear you.

I like Veg's take - Danault does benefit a lot from his linemates. He's a guy who's good at playing with guys who are good - can't break a game open on his own. I'd like to see Galchenyuk and Duchene as centres #1 and #2, and have Tomas Turtleneck move into a full-time shutdown role.
I think the only way Duchene is in a Habs uniform is if Galchenyuk is wearing an Avs sweater.

Honest question, how's Danault been playing and do you think this change will affect him? He kinda came out of nowhere and suddenly has 30 points..
Well, he was already playing on the top line and had the coach's confidence, so it's not really going to improve his situation.
But, as Vegeta has hinted he plays a smart defensively-responsible game and in that sense has been a good complement to Pacioretty (who can be lazy on the back check) and Radulov (who can seem lost in his own zone). I think he's the type of player Julien will appreciate, so this isn't necessarily bad news for him.
That said, Therrien had a very short leash on Galchenyuk (rightly so in my opinion). Julien might have different ideas on that front, at least initially. That might take some opportunities away from Danault.
Danault is clearly a solid two-way NHLer, I think the jury is still out on whether he belongs on a top 6 full time.

Never thought I would ever feel anything like gratitude towards the Bruins organization. But here we are.
From the bottom of my bleu blanc rouge heart, "Thanks, morons."

Mr. Yzerman,
I take back every bad thought I've had about you over the last 2 weeks.
Sincerely,
Your new #1 fan

Pushing the button was a big letdown. I was hoping I could use it to create the ideal woman like in Weird Science, but alas no.

I was super happy with Sergachyov, who seems like a pretty safe bet.
I had hoped Keller would still be there at 9, but once he was off the board Sergachyov was the guy that seemed most interesting to me.
Of course none of this matters anymore since a few days later Bergevin would go on to crush my soul.

Please take a minute to add a profile picture for yourself... makes it a lot easier when reading through threads.
To do it, simply click your screen name at the top right, and choose "Profile". Then click the photo icon on top of the blank image along the left. If you want to use your team's logo, you can find it by going to www.capwisehockey.com, selecting your league under "Leagues", and then clicking Teams.
I'm also happy to update anyone's profile photo for them... just ask.
Speaking of which, am I the only one who is kinda creeped out by James' new avatar? What is that thing?

Weird... looks fine on my phone. What kind of phone do you have?
iPhone. The first page looks fine. But if I click on a forum cat, like site news for example, the topic titles (new site and forum archives) are displayed vertically. The actual posts are displayed correctly, though.

I'm on the mobile version right now and the thread titles are all screwy (displayed vertically).

Yep! Let's start trading!!!

Yay! Missed this place!
Thanks for all the the hard work.
Wondering about the league sub-forums, though. I can't see them. Pare they not set up yet, or is it my setup?

Fairly happy with the AAV on the Alzner signing. Do wish we could have added a puck moving LHD, though. Now starting to worry we haven't re-signed Markov yet. Never expected him to go UFA.
I can't understand for the life of me why the Habs weren't in the convo for Hanzal.
Mason in WPG sucks for Helly owners, I would think.
