Morrow to Montreal on 1 year deal.
I was hoping for that one.
great another fringe #8

so it leaves the habs with what
weber ?
petry alzner
schlemko benn
davidson
-
why montreal signed peter holland... and is alzner any better than emelin tbh...

Oh, they also got Hague in the second round. Not a bad draft at all for VGK.
Then again time will al mahor scout keep saying montreal had nasty good steal... de la rose, colberg, andrighetto ,reway.... now what...

Lets Have Fun here we all know Montreal is Dieing for A #1 Center and they also Need someone to play with Either Weber or Petry in top4
Lets Be Rafter Gms
Trade Proposal #1
Montreal Trades Alex Galchenyuk and a 1st rounder in 2018
For
Brodie + Bennett
CGY defense is stacked so the lost of Brodie ( hamonic coming in ) doesnt hUrt and they get a decent Upgrade on Bennett ( upside)
we Get a #2 Center Ready ( with #1 Potential) and a player to fix our Dcore and we turn around and Sign to a 2year deal someone Like Joe Thorton as a stopgap for 2 years
discuss...
Option #2Break the Bank on SHattenkirk we sell him the chance to win a cup here and play alongside Weber for the rest of his career
we instantly have 1 of the best Defensive group in the league and we build from the net back.. we keep galchenyuk and live or die with him as a center

Wnnipeg gave up a pick (a first?) to protect its good guys. Guess a fighter helps 'sell' the game.
I'm shocked they didn't take more goalies. Seems like they took a lot of bottom pairing d. Didn't think there'd be a market for the TVR types.
Yeah i made the post prior to the deal beeing announced it does make sense now, i don5 know about mtl they have 4 D benn petry weber davidson to start the season and still no #1 C and galchenyuk wont bring in a top 4D + #1C so theres that
-
Just figured I would start this since its a rather Unique Event
share what you think!- Thorburn from winnipeg? huh ok? dano, enstrom...
- Bringing Garisson ON stage when Vegas just basicly said It took a top prospect a 2nd and a 4th round pick Just to take you on our team talk about Savage-Tortorella winning the jack adams feels so wrong ( even tho hes deserving)
-Bergeron Wife is a sight to see
-
i think the plan is bound to be be an overage center ufa ornon a bad contract
-
salros has too many
-
it is something you look brilliant when you pull off and retarded when the goalie doesnt bite, Juste like the Linus Omark Lob goal or the backend toe drag of datsyuk, or the spinorama when the goalie take your legs out
-
Its a tough5 choice so the first tips it , agreed rantanen is in a better situation, prolly going to sit next to mackinnon could b a dynamic duo ranaten has a better frame so most likely less injury prone id say.
Ahl numbers are somewhat similat, cant deny the play making of nylander, might be backstrom 2.0
-
Price is not winning, crosby prolly wins art ross but with more points than my 87
Stamkos was on pace for 43g
Karlsson is on pace but burns...
Strome lollllllll

art ross goes 2 sidney crosby 87pts
rocket richard goes 2 steven stamkos 53g
Oh boy som3 are off the mark!!

to the point if it was julien fault, I think after some time changes are needed, boston been running the same core for a decade or so at some point you have to move foward and the easiest way to change stuff is to fire the coach. I dont think its a salty situation for boston because they already always get rekt by montreal, so things shouldnt change but boy would I love to see mtl eliminate boston from the playoffs

Well I think Id prefer to keep galchenyuk over duchene, galchenyuk is pretty much where duchene is but much younger and still a better upside. so if that trade goes thrue we better have something else along duchene or ill burn my sweater on facebook live.
As stated above I think Julien will find his Chris Kelly into danault, I think daneault pretty much gels with anyone he plays with, But he wont drive offense and cant be relied on as a top 2 C in this league ( there have been surprise before ) But usuly ppl that breakout unexpectedly are later round draft pick who where chosen late for a specific reason ( Maturiry, size, behavior, commitement) read there Jamie benn ( he wasnt sure if he would play hockey or baseball profesionaly at 18yearsold) not people like danault who were drafted in the 1st round because the scout think its a safe pick because they like the guy attitude rather than the guy skillset. -
problem is duchene and galchenyuk are similar, seems likje have a more well rounded 2nd center would be better for the overall team
-
I know all the fuss is around Duchene but hes pretty much an older version of galchenyuk Id rather look toward RNH / Landeskog to be the Center who plays vs crosby and companie
-
benefits from playing with pacioretty and radulov, hes a great technician and a high IQ player But his upside has to be around 50ish point in the right situation he benefits from mtl having no center past galchenyuk
-
thank god, dont care about julien but herrien gone is great, goes to show the captain aboard is price ..

I was a big Anti-World Cup person since I feel it's the Big Business side of Hockey that prefers a format that they can control rather than being involved with the IOC and the Olympics. Now that I've viewed a few pre-season games, it's clear the players came into this tournament determined to play great hockey. As a Fantasy Hockey enthusiast, I find the format brings to life the type of teams we often compete with. Whomever came up the the idea of fielding a North American team and European team with the National teams should be recognized as being brilliant. It has brought a special energy to this series and will probably be one of the major reasons it will continue. I would love to see the young NA kids (funny what we call twenty year old's sometimes) win the World Cup as a undefeated team.
sadly nothing is stoping the canada train

I'm still not sold on Strome sticking around the NHL all year. From what I have read his skating is still a big concern.

forgot the inconditional love you had for emelin , but where does he slot as a #4 or a bottom pairing
