I agree with most of what's being said here ,Galchenyuk would certainly not have gotten a top center in return.
The problem I have is over the last 2 years we have traded PK ,Sergachev and him ,you would think that in all that dealing we should have got a top C in return ,as Vegata said ,it seems were always moving sideways now instead of forward.
I am 99.9 % convinced Patches will be traded too ,maybe there with a package of 2nd round picks is where we get the Top C but who knows.

I was driving to work when a friend texted me about this trade ,my 1st reaction was ...ok...I guess we ( we being Habs) also got 5th overall Amateur as well so yeah we didn't and no I wasn't happy
9 hours later , I think it's just a swap of 2 talented guys going nowhere with their respective teams and both GM's hoping a change of scenery does them good ,Domi is also younger and under team control longer.
The problem IMO with Habs fans ( including me) and Habs media is that we under value and criticize a player while he's here then we annoit him as Jesus Christ Superstar the second he's traded.
I think we'll like Domi.
On a side note ,I have Domi in GNFL so if anybody wants to over bid for him I'm all ears !!

My boyhood hero, met him as an adult at a book signing ,was nervous as hell standing in line wondering what I would say so being the idiot I am,I asked him to ask me anything about his career ,he asked me his 1st hat trick and I rambled on ( knew it though) ,after about 2 minutes of rambling he said I think you know more about my career than I do
Not in the goal scorer class of Ovi or Bossy though but by far my fav player ever.

I'm pulling for Washington but I think Tampa wins a close low scoring game ,got a 3-1 kinda feel to it.

Same,and I think Konecny may turn out to be the best of the 4 of them ( nothing to do with fact I recently acquired him in GNFL

I didn't realize until I heard it today that he was a big Bruins fan and his Godfather was former Bruins GM and Summit Series head coach Harry Sinden.
Considering how much he gave to us ,we'll forgive him for that

The beauty of baseball pools is they play almost every day and there are so many stats ,so many categories to choose from but yeah, you got to be committed and really follow it

I don't agree with all this Habs negativity ,it's only August 3rd and we got approx 9 million cap space,let's see what MB does with that
If nothing else ,Drouin will be spectacular ,we go get a stud French Canadian ( please do not oversight the importance of that in this market) and even the local Frnch press bitches we gave up a puck moving D ( who has played 0 NHL games)
We have arguably the best goalie in hockey ,arguably the best shut down D-Man in hockey( and a few other pieces at Def that could surprise ,not too mention Alzner who is very solid) ,can rival any team at LW ( 4 lines) and have a very well respected Stanley Cup winning coach
Yeah ,I know the C issue ,I know the absence of puck moving D ,I'm well aware we scored 0 goals against the Rangers ( ok maybe 1) but I don't think this team is nearly as broken as a lot of people are thinking
Let's spend that 9 million wisely ,it doesn't even have to be right now and I can see a lot of good things out of this team
