He had one good year, would have thought a bridge, show me deal, would be the way the Senators would go. Well after the Karlsson situation, guess they see a Chabot as a key building block, which is not the norm for the Senators.

There are 3 groups training. I am watching group 1 as group 2 is practicing on an adjacent rink (Malkin/Galchenyuk) and group 3 is this afternoon.

The hockey season has officially started with the Penguin Training Camp. For now am living in an apartment 5 minutes from their training camp.
Note the picture of “Coach” Matt Cullen along with quick snaps of Crosby and Guentzel along with goalies Murray and D’Orio.
Now just need to finish one re-entry draft in SFHL, and my Capwise rosters are off and running.

I would prefer the Zach Werenski contract, much better value.
Could be be a real bargain if he becomes a solid top pair defenseman and #1 PP time....guess time will tell

He’s young enough and with a good franchise that I can’t see any Capwise team not accepting this contract for a top goalie. Wonder if that might set the bar for Matt Murray, depending on how he plays this coming season.

Thanks for being a part of the 2 cups Phil, but your AVV, term and general lazy play 5-5 last year certainly won’t be missed.
Good luck in AZ being a one dimensional player on the PP, and unfortunately I feel a slower skater as you age.
Gally one year to UFA so if he doesn’t work out, a lot of cap room in 20-21 for pending FA.
Joseph, a former 1st round pick will certainly add some great value to a depleted depth on the farm team.
Overall probably best that we could
expect for Phil considering his no trade list and apparently “friendship” with Tocchet.

Scary term and AVV for slow 2nd/3rd Line center, sure glad James made the Capwise team cap adjustments for 19-20 season, as some of these new contracts signed by mid level players is scary.

Yikes, sounds bad, but Chevy knew that Trouba wanted to play in the states, so guess that was the best he could do. Assume now they will probably resign Myers since Trouba has departed

Feel the same way on Karlsson, as its a very tough Capwise deal to take on considering his age (29), AVV ($11.5), term (8 years) and past injury history.
I am not even sure he would be a reasonable IR replacement at the AVV.
