It's funny to me too...I remember the first time I heard the suggestion that the habs could grab kokoniemi(whatever his name is) as early as 3rd was on the radio about three weeks ago. It was a clip of Craig Button making the argument that he was a top five pick.
Since then everywhere I look he has been pushed up the board.
Does the former GM have that much pull in popular opinion?

If its a gifted lifetime acheivment conn smythe then it should go to Ovechkin.
If its awarded to the MVP of the winning team, it should go to Kuznetsov.
If its awarded to someone not named Ovechkin it will go to Holtby.
Unless what I beleive happens becomes a reality. Then Fleury will be the only choice.

This story will not end this way. It should end with Vegas being the first team since the 40's to come back down three games in the playoffs. Thats the way this movie was written. We are just entering the final act.

I dont think we should underestimate the contents of Ovechkin's luggage on his time travel back to Bossy' era.
Should he arrive empty handed, he would have to make due with the heavy wooden stick and clunky booted skates that were the norm of the day. And the training regimen that todays athletes are put through has them being finely tuned instruments of speed and strength.(Phil Kessel excluded of course.)
Bossy was known mostly for his quick release. I shutter to think what Bossy could do in todays world with a whip for a stick.
