  1. I think he would fair better elsewhere. Therrein quelled a youth movement . Bergevin backed him up. Pacioretty is not to blame but he if he wasn't present things may have gone differently.

Therrein was a bad hire. The CH will have fans regardless of French speaking GM's and coaches. Time to start a new ERA. Hire only Australians to run the team.

  2. with the woes the team is going through. put him in a second line winger or C slot. and leave him there for 20 games. Same linemates  ,same time same place. Tell him this is what's happening and let him work through it. I'd put money down once the pressure is off he finds his groove again.

Marner is doing fine on the fourth line in Toronto ?!? Just saying!

Alex needs to stop feeling sorry for him self and play some fringing hockey

Not every player is the same. They have literally tried everything else. We all know the talent is there.  Stop fucking with the kid and let him play. Or send him to Colorado so he can reunite with Yakupov and they can suck together.

  4. Sit the kid on the bench. Sit the kid in the press box. 4th line minutes and the constant shuffle are not going to ignite the kid.

If you haven't noticed we're losing anyways. Slap him in nets if that's what it's going to take to get him a little consistency.

My opinion is put him second line center where he was supposed to be playing from the get go and watch him suck until he doesn't suck or send the kid packing for a rondelle and deux hotdog and cut your losses.

  5. I said this when they hired Therrien. Hiring a coach that was already here and got canned is a bad idea. I don't care how many accolades the guy has. It's bad business.  From the guy working at the corner store to the garbage man. When you can a guy he should stay gone.

There is no reason a kid with Galchenyuks talent should be on the 4th line. They are treating him poorly and failing to inspire him.

  6. Plekanec on the last year of his deal could be a good piece for a contender.

This season is already looking like it's shot. Let Galchenyuk run and see what he can do. The kid is talented. There's no doubting that. I think the Columbian Dristan and Therrien fucked up his mojo. He needs somebody to show confidence in him.

I still think Weber for Subban was a good deal. Weber is better statistically by a significant amount. On a worse team.

I honestly think. Galchenyuk can be a #1 center. He's big enough. Definitely talented enough. It will be a shame when that happens on another team.

  7. I went to see them years ago. It was awesome. I didn't realize at the time how many songs they had that were embedded in my head. The whole concert was like "hey ! I know this". They were awesome that night and a big fan was born.

I went to see the last tour in Edmonton. It was amazing. Really good show. He was a great front man. Electric and engaging.

    R.I.P. Gord. Thank You

  8. it's 57 points in 61 games. for a 19 year old. I think that is the upside. And Playing on arguably the worst team in the league with no supporting cast. I think 8 mill would have been more reasonable.

But it's a statement, you are the guy. you will be our guy.

Could Tavares feel his career has been hurt playing home games on one of the worst ice surfaces in the NHL? If I hated going to practice because of the ice surface, going to a place with great ice could be very enticing. I wonder how much Tavares feels his home ice has held him back from being a top 5 player in the NHL.

I don't know but if you trade him to me in the IFHL I'll find out.

    Thanks

but doesnthelp the problem thats its  all price or nothing 3 goals =  lost 90% of time vs 70% of time  on other teams

Schlemko is not a better puck mover than Alzner. Streit can't handle the minutes anymore. You get what you get. Weber and Alzner can both move the puck fine enough to get the job done.

  11. It's go time for the habs. Sell the farm, move to the city. Drop the future. If they don't win in the next 3 years. Sell the whole team and start again. Enough mediocre sideways deals. Sell a couple first pound picks and young bucks. Get the big players.  GO GO GO! I would be embarrassed as a GM and a coach If I couldn't get Price the cup.
