Seeing that NHL Sources are saying Roman Josi has resigned in NAS for the max 8 years at just over 9 per. Not as high as I had figured but definitely up from his current $4mil.

Seems like a bit of a hometown discount for St Louis on this one. Schenn likely gave up some of the cash for the term though.

These deals happen in the NBA all the time. Not surprising that the NHL is finally doing this.

At the same time it’s not a bad deal for Toronto. Zero salary retained in the deal and the first rounder is 21-30.

Since we all know Toronto is the epicentre of the hockey universe...tonight is the much anticipated return for Tavares to NY.
Watching the pre game on TSN and not surprising it is a huge angry mob mentality. He’s already had a jersey thrown at him while leaving the ice. It is going to get nasty during his video tribute.

Sounds like a platoon with Bobs and Kinkaid down the stretch. Bobs is 99.9% gone at year end and Kinkaid would have a chance at resigning

Small thing fantasy wise, but the Leafs just moved Josh Leivo to Vancouver for an AHL prospect to clear the sport for Dermott to come back up.
Kind of feel like it should have been Ennis on the move.

Listened to TSN radio this morning on my drive and Carlo Coliacovo said he was talking to guys he still knew from playing days there and all said they expected something. Apparently the air just stunk after the 6-0 loss to the Leafs Saturday.
And to be fair, he hasn't really done much to address the goaltending properly on a team with good skaters.

You read my mind. Huge Leafs fan here and I was thinking of Kadri when I was typing. Man would the Leafs have looked stupid if they had given up on him that early. Chicago is going to win this deal HUGE. And while Perlini is not turning out to be a top 6 player right now, he looks to be a solid 3rd line value guy.
