And Queenville is sitting out there. Wow

Crying. My premier league team is getting injured left right and centre. Soon I’ll have no one left.
This one is looking long term.

I think the difference may be key players as opposed to fringe?

As a Pearson owner I am happy with the deal. LA is a cess pool right now and Pit has scoring potential
-
I think a lot of Saros owners were expecting him to take over so this is a slap in the face for them

Or Tampa, right?
Not a chance. Not many bigger Leaf fans here than me, but I don't even have them ahead of Tampa right now. Guessing they are 1-2 in the Atlantic with 3 being either Boston or Florida (who I think could be pretty good this year)

Let's get weird.
- Florida finishes second in the Atlantic.
- Chytil wins the Calder Trophy (Pettersson comes in second)
- Provorov wins the Norris.
- Mrazek gets 20+ wins.
- Eichel gets close to 100 points.
- Gibson wins the Vezina.
- Detroit is the worst team in the Atlantic.
- Tampa defeats St. Louis for the Cup.
- Tomas Tatar scores 60+ points.
- Carolina makes it to the second round.
- Toronto makes it to the Conference Finals.
- Winnipeg and Nashville don't make it to the second round.
- Minnesota finishes last in the Central.
- Ryan O'Reilly wins the Selke.
#11 - This means that you have Toronto as a wild card team? That is the most bold prediction yet!!!!
-
I love me some Leafs, but President's trophy is a VERY bold prediction.
I think that 100 points for Laine might be a little high.
Others could be right.

Leafs have been both fun and tough to watch at times. Tavares, Marner and Matthews have been great to watch, but there's also been some bad giveaways that led to goals thatare hope. But I guess that's just what you get with preseason hockey. Will be more fun to watch as the fat gets trimmed, and we get to see the rumored PP1 of Tavares-Matthews-Marner-Rielly-Kadri all together, as well as the return of Nylander (hopefully sooner than later). Really like the play of some of the younger defencemen. Sandin and Liljegren looked good, so have Borgman and Holl.
Other things:
- If Nylander does miss the first week or two of the regular season, it'll be interesting to see how Ennis does in that spot (he has looked fairly comfy there so far). Hopefully Nylander gets sorted out soon (despite some of the Leafs fan base insisting he gets moved for a RHD), though he shares an agent with Gaudreau, who held out as well. ($7mil x 7 years...fair?)
- Wonder who's going to make up that bottom pair. I'd like to see Holl get a chance on the right side. And while it's doubtful, if Babs moved Hainsey to the third pair as more of a PK specialist, and moved Rielly/Gardiner/Dermott over to the right side, that'd be nice (Rielly-Dermott/Gardiner-Zaitsev/Hainsey-Holl).
- The battle to back up Freddy. Sparks or Mac will take it. My guess is Sparks. No matter who loses, do you risk the waiver wire (though there is considerably less risk with Mac), or can Dubas get a late pick/package deal done?
It's gonna be a fun year for this team. Can't wait until Oct 3rd!
Couldn't agree more on Holl. He has been really good, but stubborn Babcock is likely to go another route.
Nylander is really starting to worry me now. They will still be solid without him, but could be better with him. I've heard as of today that his camp is not really dropping their ask at all. Presumably around 7.5 and that is too much. Curious to see the trade market because not many teams will be willing to fork over that kind of dough.
Sparks was really shaky in his last start and again...stubborn Babcock. I'd rather see him than Mac as I'd be more comfortable with Sparks if Freddy was gone for a bit longer.

CFHL is round 4 pick 9 and more people are drafting still instead of being skipped

100% agreed. Unfortunately they had less than 3.5 available this year for him

While I don't agree with it and the people representing him may not agree with it, the NHLPA will always appeal to try to protect the players and get the suspension reduced or overturned. In every professional sport you see where a suspension is appealed.
Oddly not 100% accurate. I live in Toronto and we recently had a huge domestic violence story with the closer for the Blue Jays Roberto Osuna. I'm sure that this story got traction in the US as well, but he was handed a 75 game suspension in which neither he or the union appealed. They took the games and kept quiet. I understand that's not the norm, but truly did happen.
When it comes to domestic violence the optics are just plain bad. Ezekial Elliott for the Cowboys fought against his suspension and got raked over the coals for it and eventually had to take it anyway. He should just take the 27 games and tank his lucky stars it was a full year or even more!

Kind of feel like it should be more

The main concern is when dumping the remaining quality veterans to not finish last place and then get the first or second overall pick. Tkachuk is a nice piece but not the top overall piece. That could hurt giving up potentially Hughes to Colorado.

Fantasy Football is even more pun based for team names than hockey. I have Le'Veon Bell (#$#@ #$#$ @#!$#$) on my roster so went with my 80's tv...Saved By Le'Bell.
I'd play off Antonio Brown...he's your best player
What can Brown do for you?
Brown Baggin' It
Brown Sugar
Antonio Brownderez

Really happy with this contract for one of my teams. Cap hit of $4.95 seems fair

Try waiting 26 picks in between you back to back ones...talk about seeing your list fly by...

The Leafs have hired Hayley Wickenheiser as Assistant Director of Player Development. Interesting hire. I think she could impact a lot of young up and coming players. Very talented hockey person!!!!

Leafs-Oilers could be a good match for a Capwise Community Night. Unfortunately, they don't play until February.
Or fortunately for the Oilers that they can wait that long to lose

Terrible. Arizona strikes again. Giving up on Strome WAY too early.
