Ah Thunder you couldn't be more wrong. This wasn't a cap dump. If it was it wouldn't have been Miller. Jimbo worked on this for a while now and it had to be a 1st to get him. He's going to be a great addition. Now if it had Jimbo who picked Seider where he went you and everyone else would be saying what a dought head! Why didn't he trade down and make the pick? Because it was Stevie Y not a word. Now let's talk about the little Pygmy that you and some others think that Montreal stole. Now lets remember that this is the NHL. If his scoring dries up and it will. What then? He's slow a foot and lacks a 200 foot game and doesn't have Jackie feeding him to boot . Now Jimbo is going to get kicked to the curb soon enough. P,ease don't help it a long. lol It's funny it wasn't that long ago that Mac Bergevin was considered the Village Idiot!

Same as any pure goal scorer  doesnt score. Whats your point...

Fyi i dont think that trade is bad. The contract seems reasonable  and i think miller is better than hayes. And to comeback on the pigmy ... hes a steal he was a top 10pick. Even top 7 on some list. Got him at 15th  thats freeroll

    Big weekend for NJD!

Maybe Hall starts to think this an’t looking so bad.

Funny to see teams giving silly amounts of money to guys like Hayes, etc, while other teams are having to sell players at a discount to fit under the cap.

    indeed thats kinda ftop

If the Preds sign Duchene, they’ll somehow be on both sides of that equation this season.

they do need to figureout josi extension tho

  4. my issue with D is they wont b rdy when /if our current foward group hits rfa status...with those 10m caphit

domi is getting 8m+ next year

    gallagher getting 6m+ next year

    petry getting 7m+ next year

what if KK gets 70pts this year... ir next ... now its 9m+

  5. Too volatile of a draft to  guess but  Heres the  story
      hughers  and kakko

at 3  its  the mostt pivotal   spot,  when  Byram  goes out   get ready for an unslaught of  dman in the next pick . I think byram goes 5th. same story  with  Centers, Once    a  center is picked  after turcotte  be ready they are all going out.

as a habs fan if I want 1 guy to  drop is  Caufield  but he went  from  17th to 7th  in a month so  hardly any chance. if not  Harley/york/broberg are fine.   if Podkolzin  is still there i think  we take him,  im curiopus about kalyiev  51g 51a  2nd best goal scorere in the draft why not...

That's a really good point.  And its an 8 year, 92 mil contract.  So 11.5 for 8 years for a 29 year old defenseman who has had some injury problems.  Compare that to 12.50 for the 22 year Mcdavid, or even the 6 years left on the 28 year old John Tavares's contract.  This is a huge risk for SJ.

i like how you lowkey plugged  tavares, but agreed  tavares is a better contract than karlsson.  kinda getting scared of what petry will get

Drouin has yet to learn to keep his stick on the ice. This is something you're taught in novice. If you carry your stick a foot off the ice at all times, how can you ever make progress on the defensive side of the puck. He's a toolbag.

Hes  a  1st line winger paid like a 2nd line  winger producing like a  2nd line winger  the only issue  is people  see a glimpse of   an elite player  if  focus/tenacity was in his vocabulary. hes a faster /weaker/scared version of kovalev
