Central, Metro, Pacific, Atlantic, in my opinion. Pacific is very good, but I think the Metro's goaltending puts them ahead. Central is pretty insane if everyone is healthy.
Just saw a 30 minute Vice Sports special about this on ESPN the other night. Good stuff. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JV6iRa6ibss
It's funny how this article skips right over Taylor Hall. He's already been erased from the Edmonton record books, I see.
"And living in a hockey hotbed like Edmonton, which had its share of top overall picks in recent years (Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in 2011, Yakupov in 2012 and Connor McDavid in 2015), high performance wasn't a wish, it was expected."
When we're talking straight points, I feel like GP becomes a big factor... that limits Crosby's value, especially against the younger McDavid and Kane. They'll shut crosby down at a sneeze, especially if the Pens are comfortably in a playoff position down the stretch.
If a JV eligible player is sent to the AHL, you must demote him. If a jv ineligible player is sent to the AHL, you're shut outta luck. Should've drafted a better player :-)
You can carry pavelec as dead weight, or you can drop him or buy him out per our normal procedures.
The drop-down menu to switch back is actually still there... it's just invisible on my skin. If you know where it is, you can find it with your cursor. That's how good I am at web design.
Definitely seems competitive, but it's not the Olympics. Hoping the actual tournament games are a bit more... I dunno... important feeling?
I'm still bothered by the North America and Europe teams. Just gives the whole thing a very exhibitiony feel, like an all star game.
I grabbed Jacob Markstrom very early on in PCFL season 1. Hopefully that'll pay off soon! I also got Joonas Donskoi in the 6th round in 2010. Sadly gave up on him before he became (borderline) fantasy relevant.
In the ECFL I got Kyle Palmieri, Max Pacioretty, Lars Eller and Nick Bonino in the first draft. I also used my 132nd pick in the Inaugural Draft to take a flyer on a Pens defenseman who had just completed a 3 goal season. But Letang turned out to be pretty good!
