  1. I always thought Lindholm seemed to compete. Solid two way player. Rumor he could slot with Gaudreau and Monaghan. If true could push him to 55-60 point range.
  2. I still think Lindholm could hit 50-60 points
  3. Same coach he has had for the last couple of years. Potentially depends on who he is slotted with. But wasn’t like he wasn’t slotted with talent in Carolina with Aho and Teuvo.
  4. Hanifin is still young and had a lot of potential but a fair amount of people seem down on his development so far.
  5. Fox has been a PPG player at Harvard
  6. The more I talk to others I like this from a Canes perspective.
  7. From what I have heard about Fox is that he is a high end D prospect. Canes knew it was going to be difficult to keep Hanifin and Lindholm. They get Hamilton who is much more proven that Hanifin and signed for the next three years. Ferlund is no slouch either scoring 20 goals last year.
  8. Don’t be surprised to see Faulk and Skinner moved next
  9. I feel mixed about this. I still think Hanifin and Lindholm have high upside. Hamilton much more proven though and signed long term.
  10. That has been rumored for the last week. Would be surprised to see Hanifin on the move but wouldn’t surprise me to see Lindholm traded. Thought was Dougie Hamilton would be involved.
  11. Hurricanes offered the 42nd overall pick and to take Orpiks contract but the Caps wanted Grubauer out of the Metro.
  12. I can't wait to see Svechnikov in that Hurricanes sweater!
  13. Does this thread blow up tomorrow when Montreal picks Kotkaniemi and Vegeta loses his mind?
  14. Would be interesting to know what salary the Caps offered Trotz. From what I heard is he wanted a 5 year deal and the Caps wouldn't commit to going that long.
  15. Gamble either way. They keep the pick and are still terrible there is a high probability they miss out on Hughes. They trade the pick and it sends a poor message to the fans. I think only way around it is to trade Karlsson for young top end players, high tier prospects and trade the pick to the Avs this year. Sell it to the fan base as a rebuild and really highlight the players to build around.
  16. Was just coming to post something about this. Will certainly be interesting to see how this all shakes out and how it is handled by the Preds and NHL. The ironic thing about the situation is that Watson was part of a public awareness campaign for ending violence against women.
  17. That is what I saw as well.
  18. Read that the Sens are seriously considering it and the Avs are currently acting as they have that pick. If I read correctly the Sens don’t really have to give the Avs too much of an advanced notice.
  19. Sharks also get rid of Boedker’s contract
  20. Probably better situation to go to for Hoffman with the veteran presence in the locker room.
  21. From what I have read, he really impressed at the WJC which really helped push up his value. The other perception is that he was a 17 year old playing against grown men and still produced 25+ points in 50+ games.
  22. I’m really confused when you keep saying without playing a single game because it looks like he played quite a few games this past season.
  23. Kotkaniemi has been flying up the boards. As the owner of a 3rd overall pick I felt fairly confident who I was taking with that pick...now I’m not so sure
  24. If he goes to the Islanders what are the odds Tavares stays?
  25. The Coyotes have already committed to playing Galchenyuk at Center
