Somehow Therrien always managed to get strong start from his teams, which ended up boosting their final points totals above their true worth. As Zipper says, this team (from the games or partial games I've seen) is not as bad as their record indicates. But they're still mediocre and will be struggling for a playoff spot. I'll never get over the Subban trade, and I still can't f****ing believe tight pants let Markov walk. Personally, I'd be looking to trade Price+ for a C and a lesser G. Price and Galchenyuk for RNH and Talbot kinda deal. Although I imagine the Oils would not be able to afford those contracts next season.

I agree Bergevin should want him, I just can't imagine what he could possibly offer in return other than Galchenyuk. And my understanding is Sakic has been asking for a D + all along, so the odds seem very much against a trade with Montreal ever happening. Other teams (Carolina, Columbus) have Ds to offer and a need for a C. I think they're a better fit. Besides, Duchene showed up to camp, so it doesn't look like he'll sit out. Sakic may hold out a little longer. I think we're better off just hoping Drouin at C works out.

No. What's harsh is my life as a Habs fan. Tavares - 99% NYI Duchene - 40% Columbus, 40% Carolina, and 5% each for Nashville or NYI. MTL is a 0.

Holy Fcuking Yeah!!!! Pardon my french, but call this guy relieved! I took the gamble of keeping both Draisaitl and Pasta in the IFHL despite the cap hit (and the crazy signing bonuses I had to pay) on a team that was already pretty damn expensive. It forced me to make a lot of hard choices and I was actually starting to worry he might take off for a year, which would have been absolutely disastrous for me. I'm glad he signed and this is about one million less than I had budgeted.

I was surprised by the term. I was under the impression NJD weren't sold on him yet, but clearly they are. Don't know about real life value, but I don't love that contract for fantasy, at least not until he improves significantly on his offense, because his hits and blks are definitely mediocre and will likely remain so.

My assumption has always been the Drouin trade means Radulov won't be re-signed. But it sounds like they are still talking, so I may be wrong. Personally, I think they need Markov more, but much depends on whether they're keeping Galch.

Alzner is a top 4, no question. I think he'd fit best with Petry. We still need to re-sign Markov, though. cuz Alzner belongs on a second pairing I think.
