  1. We're letting Bagwell draft Moritz Sieder in all his leagues this year, right?
  2. I was literally a second away from banning the IP 🙃
  3. I'm not expecting any downtime from the server upgrade, but you may see some weird glitches for a couple of hours when I get to it as I'm also updating our forum software. It's mostly security/speed-related fixes, so nothing too exciting to see here
  4. As an Oil fan, I'm really hoping someone drafts anyone else in your top 7. I'm really hoping for one of the centers. Mine: 1. New Jersey - Jack Huges2. NY Rangers - Kaapo Kakko3. 5. I'm definitely on-board! Conflicted on the stream part, I'm going to have other folks texting me like crazy. I wonder how many times I could share a TSN account before they boot me out.
  6. Sorry man! Saw this too late!
  7. Update 4 - Anyone hiring a server security guy? Our server's been buffed. If you notice any downtime, just email James. He has me on speed dial. Update 3 - It's not fixed, though the slowdowns seem to be longer in between. Spikes are bad: Back to it... Update 2 - I think it's fixed. Update - The server's under attack from... not sure where. Site may be slow/down while I figure out how to mitigate it.
  8. Hey all, don't have a look at the previous topic in this forum because it definitely hasn't been a year since I found a fix for wonky PMs. I've been in school, ok?? I switched our server e-mail platform to an external program called SendGrid. They're well-known in the digital marketing world and so far the integration with our server is flawless. What does this mean? When you receive a PM notification from our forum, it'll now look like so: There should be no more delay in notifications or e-mails getting rejected by Gmail/Hotmail/Yahoo/etc. servers as sendgrid.net has a much higher reputation than ours. Still testing, but I don't expect any issues. Because we're still using the @capwisehockey.com domain, your e-mails may still be sent to your junk mail inbox. Simply mark one as "not spam" and they'll be delivered to your main inbox again. If your experience is at all different from the above, please let me know! Thanks
  9. I don't know much about Hunter other than he was in the running for the Leafs job. Not sure how to feel about it, though he's definitely been successful. Well, it's only horrendous because Chiarelli couldn't adapt. His solution to replacing our top puck mover (Klefbom, injured) was by trading for Petrovic and Manning... two guys who definitely aren't going to replace that capability in any way, shape or form. Right now we have nothing but defensive Dmen in the top six, so who's getting the puck to McDavid? I think that decision is making the entire team way worse off than it is. With Klefbom and Sekera (hopefully) coming back, we should see an improvement. On top of that, guys like Jones, Bear, Bouchard are making their way up as decent puck movers. I think by next year the D core will be balanced and our focus will be on finding some dang wingers.
  10. He was brutal but also gave us the Oilers first playoff run in a decade. While I fantasize what a Hall - McDavid - Draisaitl top line (with a competent Eberle on the 2nd line) could have done to the league, I'm now kind of stuck wondering - What the hell do they do now? Chiarelli + McLellan were both external hires with pretty legit credentials (I realize Chia left on a bad note in Boston) and things still soured on them remarkably quickly.
  11. And it's gonna be an Oilers WIN!
  12. This Talbot owner just screamed with glee
  13. Like the Canucks, Pettersson was the only bright spot of my PCFL team this year. This is brutal
  14. That's not very BOLD! I feel like Dahlin is getting underrated. I bet he wins the Calder with 50+ points.. and a possible +/- of -50.
  15. Gotta say, I watched Pettersson versus the Oilers. He was nothing short of phenomenal. I don't know who's going to get the puck to him, but he looks like he'll be a star.
  16. With pre-season humming along and teams getting down to the nittiest and grittiest of cuts, who's surprising (good or bad) in camp for your favourite team this year?
  17. The functionality used to be there, but someone or some company abused it and the Discord developers removed it. I think the plan is to use Discord for hosting event nights (more or less). If there's a night with a lot of games, we can turn it into a community night so people show up. Maybe this Saturday? @Ydomat
  18. To OTT : Tierney Balcers DeMelo Norris Conditional 2nd (2019) Conditional 1st (2020) If Karlsson re-signs, OTT gets a conditional 2nd (2021) To SJ: Erik Karlsson Francis Perron Wow. I was hoping Meier would be staying, and he did, but that is a whole lot of B-level prospects there instead...
  19. I'll make sure James sees this.
  20. Slightly off-topic for this community, but anyone else into fantasy football? I admittedly barely follow the game, but the fantasy aspect of it is pretty fun. For those that don't, want to help me pick a new punny name for my team?

    Rookie games on now!!
  22. I think it was a career year and Giroux will regress, plus Kuznetsov will be getting a slight increase in opportunity. I may be exaggerating the difference in their respective numbers though, I think they both hover around 85 points each. Any idea if other managers are keeping Dmen?
  23. I think a conservative estimate for Kovalchuk is 20 goals, 20 assists this year. That still has to be a better option than having Iafallo on Kopi's line. I'm with Salros and am bullish for Kopitar to have another strong year. As for the last keeper... I'd say flip a coin. If forced, I think I'd vote Kuznetsov.
  24. Seems high, no? I do like his upside.
  25. Oh I think Buffalo's PP is going to be great. Overall goals against? Hmmmmmm.... I'd bet they'll be close, but yeah.. I agree with the above.
